2 - Being in Israel right now (2024) where so many Jewish men wear head coverings - kippahs in Hebrew or yarmulkes in Yiddish - this is timely because the bible does NOT say all Jewish men should wear coverings all of the time. It says the opposite.

Please watch the two videos down below that talk about MENs head coverings and WOMENs head coverings and the BIBLICAL commands, NOT the false rabbi traditions. I am praying about this because I think it is a very important point to honor the Bible exactly as God says to and not take it lightly because we want to fit in and do what is easy.

Let me know what the SPIRIT is saying to you on this.

What I come down to on this I think today -

1) Men should NOT have long hair but shorter hair that is well kept - opposite of what the Orthodox Jews do today - to show they are MEN. And women should have longer hair then men to show they are clearly women. This continues what God has said throughout the whole OT and NT - men need to look like men and not dress or look like women and women need to look like women and not dress or look like men. Based upon cultures - Scottish men where kilts, men in Jesus day wore long dress looking clothes or robes - we need to make sure we are showing what this means Biblically in each culture. God does not define a dress code for every culture - Africans dress differently than Americans, etc.

2) Based upon the OT verses, I do believe MEN Pastors should wear a head covering when teaching as God is perfect and His commands for the Levitical priests were perfect order and respect. They looked differently when going before God in the Temple to show His authority and took them off when they were out in public and not entering God's specific presence in a set apart time and purpose.

3) For women, I do believe married women do NOT need to wear a head covering but longer hair to show their HUSBANDS are their covering. Again, the whole thing is about showing RESPECT and AUTHORITY to God and husbands. For single women since we do NOT have a husband as our covering, do we have to? I still believe we do NOT, as long as our hair is longer then men's and we conduct ourselves with purity and holiness and boldness to show the word JESUS is our covering and we submit to His authority.

What are your thoughts? Not 100% sure I am right on this, but going to spend time in prayer and ask God to speak clearly to me on this subject.
