1. Again, God would never ever want a human sacrifice. He never asked Jephthah or would He ask anyone to do it. In fact, His Word makes it clear that evil, pagan nations did this and God wiped them out for it. He honors life. It was Jephthah's careless vow that caused this. Love what www.gotquestions.org says about this.
2. The Gospel Coalition suggest that Jephthah's daughter was not sacrificed on the fire and burnt and killed as a true sacrificial burnt offering, but just offered to the Temple for service and therefore never married and remained a virgin. Very compelling argument. What do you believe?
