1 - As I was looking for research for maps and timelines and history on the nations mentioned today, stumbled upon this great worship song based upon Isaiah. Chills! After preaching judgment and damnation, needed my soul to be completely overjoyed with this amazing truth and these incredibly talented worshipers who literally made me stand up and dance and worship and raise my hands with them. Hallelujah!! Enjoy!
2 - Love this map showing all of the nations mentioned in the book of Isaiah. Notice the only major power missing that we have read about in the Bible? Persia! Because the book of Isaiah takes us only up until prophesying about the future world power Babylon in about 150 years. Persia conquers Babylon later and we will read about this period of history in the book of Daniel. And notice that they are all the countries surrounding Israel and which ones are still major players today, and will be in the future. Fascinating.... to say the least.
And in the second map of Babylon, we see Elam which becomes Persia and modern day Iran and it is Persia who captures the Medes and combines forces to become the Medo-Persian empire who defeats Babylon.
