Step #3 - Stop & PRAY, asking God to speak to you and give you the power of the Holy Spirit to help you write the Scriptures you just listened to / read on your heart, giving you HIS divine revelation & wisdom into the deeper meanings.
Step #4 - REVIEW & study - as time permits - additional support, & research we will have here to further help explain today's Scriptures. And if you have anything you think would be helpful, attach it below or contact us and we will review and happily share here.
Powerful & frightening what the New Testament writers say about the wickedness & foolishness of Balaam and the Insraelites, even though in today's reading Balaam appears to learn the lesson and obey the Lord. He is mentioned by Peter, Jude - all leaders and Elders of the early Church, and Jude was Jesus' brother, and Jesus Himself!!! The Scriptures today point us only to the saving GRACE of JESUS and how it will end for those who are evil!!!! These verses are a must read and a clear explanation of why all of this is written in detail about the Israelites and this time in history - because HISTORY and HUMAN NATURE have not changed!!! Left to our own accord, we are a rebellious, stiff necked, prideful, narcissistic people who are in desperate need of a SAVIOR, and if we don't repent, BLACKEST DARKNESS IS RESERVED FOR EACH PERSON WHO DOES NOT ACCEPT JESUS!! This is real people!!! The Old Testament and the New Testament are aligned and tell the SAME story!!!!
2 Peter 2:14-16
With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed - an accursed brood! They have left the straight way & wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Bezer, who loved the wages of wickedness. But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey - an animal without speech - who spoke with a human voice & restrained the prophet's madness. These people are springs without water & mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. (Wow, so scary and frightening. Jude uses this phrase again below)
Jude 1:10-11
Yet these people slander whatever they do not understand, and the very things they do understand by instinct - as irrational animals do - will destroy them. Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam's error; they have been destroyed in Korah's rebellion. These people are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm - shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted - twice dead. They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.
Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them: "See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his Holy Ones to judge everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against HIM! (Notice Jude is recounting all of the evil people we have read about in the first four books of the Bible! Showing the Old Testament was canonized and in circulation and known and quoted by Jesus and the disciples and the early Church! And Enoch is mentioned about Jesus coming back with thousands upon thousands??? Enoch, to me, represents the Church who is raptured, so God can finally deal with Israel once and for all and Jesus is coming to judge their continued rebellion!!! Every story, every word points to JESUS and the END!!!)
Revelation 2:14-16
Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: There are some among you who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin so that they ate food sacrificed to idols & committed sexual immorality. Likewise, you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Repent, therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth. (Jesus himself to the Church in Pergamum. He says fight against them with the sword of My mouth. Interesting, the angel that appeared to the donkey had a sword.... what is the sword? The WORD OF GOD!!! THE ONLY TRUTH!!!)
Step #5 - DISCUSS the Scriptures with the World - by telling us what you love & agree with, what you disagree with, any questions you have that we would be happy to answer, how it is changing your life, personal testimony, etc.
